The tomato for industrial use<\/strong> is grown under Integrated Production Systems, which helps maintain and enhance environmental biodiversity in marshlands.<\/p>\n The practices for growing industrial tomato<\/strong> consist of enhancing production techniques with environmentally-sound waste management to protect the quality of water and soil.<\/p>\n Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum) is a dicotyledonous, perennial and shrubby plant that belongs to the Solanaceae family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n We cultivate limited-growth tomato varieties with flower-supporting internodes topped with a floral cluster. Once the cluster appears, the plant stops developing and all the fruits grow simultaneously. This allows for even ripening of the tomato, which allows harvesting under optimal conditions for manufacturing the processed product.<\/p>\n The first step in industrial tomato farming<\/strong> is to prepare the land. The soil must be dry and in good condition.
